Songbook split
If nomike's ukulele songbook grows too big to handle, it is split in two separate books. This happened twice so far, so there are four songbooks now (helium, argon, neon, xenon).
This document outlines the procedure of splitting the songbooks.
Note: The piano/keyboard edition did not exist before the last songbook split and is thus not mentioned here.
Split procedure
Update the songbook to the latest version before the split
At first you need to upgrade your songbook to the latest version (v. x.99.0). Follow the instructions on the pages for legacy, helium1, or neon1 respectively.
Throw away the cover
Throw away the cover pages and the index of the songbook, including the first page of the first song.
Split the songbook in half
Split the pile in half. The first half becomes pile 1, the second half becomes pile 2.
Depending on the version of songbook you have the split happens at these locations:
Songbook | Version | Split (first pile) | Split (second pile) |
---|---|---|---|
classic | 1.99.0 | Love is all around - Wet, Wet, Wet | Mach die Augen zu - Die Ärzte |
helium1 | 2.99.0 | Friday I'm In Love - The Cure | Game of Thrones Theme - Ramin Djawadi |
neon1 | 2.99.0 | Sympathy for the devil - The Rolling Stones | Take me home country roads - John Denver |
Pile 1
Throw away the last page.
Print out the correspoding PDF and put it to the top/bottom of the pile respectively:
